It’s official. I am a Nodame addict. As I have mentioned in my previous entry before I cannot get enough of Nodame. Ive watched the TV Drama nth times, watch the anime and then bought the comics ( manga ) and now Ive have the ticket to the upcoming Nodame Orchestra: Christmas Special in Le Theater Ginza in Tokyo. This will be my first live orchestra.
I can’t wait. So I guess I will be celebrating Christmas with the Orchestra, how surreal is that. 
While searching for Vitas’s music video in Youtube, I accidentally bump into Celtic Woman’s “Ave Maria” redention. It was amazing, the voice was simply angelic.
I even listened to their Christmas Album ( too early though ) I love listening to “Away in a Manger”, brings back childhood memory when we recited this on our christmas school play. “Ding Dong Merrily on High” was amazing. They also have the “Carols of Bells” version, but its mostly instrumental but still amazing.
On the New Journey album, I love listening to “Granuaile’s Dance”, makes you want to learn those Irish dance Their “Scarborough Fair” was also good but I still prefer the Gregorian Chant version though.
In their first album Celtic Woman, One World is my favorite song. I also prefer their version of Danny Boy than Charlotte Church. Another fave of mine is “The Butterfly”, a song played with violin.
Be enchanted, be mesmerized…
Yehey.. Nightwish has a new vocalist. This news is a bit late actually, they announce their new vocalist last month (May 2007).
Nightwish was introduced to me by a friend early last year. He kept pestering me thru ym to watch the music video of Nemo, and so I did just to make him stop. I was hooked. Not only was the video amazing but the whole music as well. Tarja’s voice really complimented with the music. It was just the type of music that I was looking for. Metal and classical all rolled into one, amazing. Since that day, Ive been listening to their music and I never get tired of it. The band is categorize as gothic metal.
Unfortunately, something happened with the group and Tarja was fired. It was so sad. But the band is not just one person, as long as the others are there the band’s journey to the music world will prevail.
The new vocalist is Anette Olzon. It’s going to be a whole new type of music and I bet it will just be as awesome as before.
