Rainy Hanabi

August 9th, 2008 ideru

What started to be a usual clear summer day turned into a rainy one. Met with friends around 1730 and look for a good location for hanabi(firework) watching in ?nth Yodogawa Hanabi.

Weather forecast predicted that it would be cloudy in the afternoon but no rain. Then dark clouds started looming in the sky and when the lightning got nearer and nearer and we are on an open field, we left our place and started strolling around the nearby stalls in case it will really rain. And then it started pouring down, we ran to a nearby house and about 5 minutes or so, the fireworks started.

Shiera and I went back to our first location ( with no umbrella ) to get our plastic mats and use it as shelter from the rain. We were the only ones among the group who were brave enough to run all the way back to the field and watch the firework :D . And since I left my camera with Kay, I was not able to get some pictures, such a waste since there were really some nice and colorful fireworks. Oh well , hopefully i can still see some next year :D

and speaking of hanabi, we also went last august 2 in Kobe Meriken Park. You can see the firework video I took here.

Clear Sunny Day..

After about 40 minutes ..

Wii and Dragonboat

June 19th, 2008 ideru

After conquering naniwa cycling course last saturday with Rose, I proceed to my friends house for pinoy lunch. They just move here in Osaka and wanted to met some old friends from work and school. So we were all Bisaya so no problem with changing one language to another ( so tiring ). Had a sumptious homemade Filipino lunch, ahh yummy, its been so long since eating a Pinoy-bisayan food. Anyway, while eating we played some WII, and yup I fell so in love with yet. Everybody was haggling the controller, that I finally gave up playing, though i was able to play a few tennis , boxing game, and naruto game. After which we played some PS3, now that game was flashy as Kagz would describe yet.

Around 5pm, they left for the indiana movie, i was left with the host since I was not planning to watch the movie. So I have all the controller to meself…. Played the PS3 naruto game, and I can say I was getting the hang of it. Win a couple of times.. then we tried playing all the Mario Cart cup, so that we can open a new game, but failed miserable. So yeah, I definitely want a WII game but first I need a bigger screen. so anybody out there wanting to donate around $1000 ?? :p

on the dragonboat side, got an email from Captain and Shimochi a few weeks ago. But i just could not muster myself to answer them and gave them a proper reason or refusal. Running away again.. It’s almost competition time and here I am still confuse on how to face them.. to email or not to email, that is my dilema, been composing my mail but everytime i tried to put in words it just seem to float away.. oh well , i will give it a try again tonite, hopefully I can give them a proper answer :)

your old

June 13th, 2008 ideru

i’ve never been bother with my age ( I always feel young ) and the fact that I’m also not in a relationship which seems to bother a lot of people, weird.. recently I talked with a friend and the same question popup , “ Do you have a boyfriend already?” in which the answer is still the same .. NONE.. then she blurted out WHAT?? you are getting old, get one.. Hello!!! its not something you can pick out  in the supermarket or department store hehehehe :D

well i never did notice my age, till they mentioned the age of their kids, “oh she is already a year and a half, the last you visited here, she was still a few weeks old…“  darn am a year older already, then their  is also the fact the my friends seems to be getting married..which brings back another conversation from another friend.

friend: are you married?

ideru: no

friend: why?

ideru: ( wondering how the heck to answer this kind of question!!!) hmm, i guess not yet time??

friend: oh you should get married soon and have kids

ideru: (still don’t know how to respond without hurting friends feeling).. ahh ok ill think about it.

wahhhhh .. that is why i rarely appear online on my ym, to avoid getting this questions.. in denial eh, well not really, its just so tiring to repeat myself again and again and again. My parents are not even pressuring me and im the eldest, anyway to my friends who keep asking this question, don’t worry so much about my marital status, am happy the way i am right now. I may become a spinster and die as one, but that is not the point here, the point is Im living the way I want to live. OK , ja ijou da ne :D

Ramen, Karaoke, Braiding

April 20th, 2008 ideru

Met up with Lisa last night in Takatsuki, and had this very delicious ramen. Sorry I forgot what ramen I ordered and the name of the store, but its near Hankyu Takatsuki station. After that together with Lisa’s friend Jason, we went for a two hour karaoke. We totally forgot the time, with all the dancing and jumping around :D

Then went back to Lisa’s hotel and illegally stayed for the night. Braided Lisa’s hair till around 3:30 in the morning. It’s been ages since I’ve done any braiding.

See yah!!

These are just some of the people who gave me inspiration last year and hopefully in the years to come:

  • Tanabata - I love reading her book reviews and her reading challenges.  Because of her, I decided to give reading challenge a try. Right now, I only joined 2 challenges and hopefully I could finished it successfully and grab some more. Thank you Tanabata-san :D
  • Grace - she blogs, and she blogs with zest. What can I say, Grace is the ultimate blogger.  2007 , she blogs every single day, and of course I make it to the point of reading every single day, as long as work does not get in the way.
  • Shiera - what can I say, she was my blogger partner back in Seishin days. Whenever there are new plugin to add and beautify your blog, she was/is my source.  Now she has her own domain and going well each day ..

10 ++ Years

March 7th, 2007 ideru

10years

jan,lizette,donald

ronald

( september 18,1996 )

10++ years… its been 10++ years since the photo above was taken. I can’t believe its that long already. Not everyone in my batch is here, cause we were not that close yet when this picture was taken. This was taken during an MMC( Math Major Circle) event in Ayala Center Cebu. MMC was the course-base organization that we were asked to joined in. At first it was fine with us, then we came to realize that we were not Math Majors, and so we created the UPCSG or the University of the Philippines Computer Science
Guild. RJ was the choosen president, Cyd was the secretary, Lizette was the vice-president but act more as a president than RJ ( peace J :D ), Pao-pao was the PR or was it Cyd the PR and pao-pao the secretary ???
as always I am the treasurer, I always hold the money :D .

Miss Cando ( now Mrs. Sta. Romana ) was our adviser. Actually, she was hesitant to accept the responsibility as this might cause a rift with the Math Majors’. I can’t remember how we convinced her, but she did accept the position.

Those were the days full of wonderful memories. The group studies we had in my boarding house, mostly cramming style since we usually study the night before the exam till morning, so when we take the exam most of us did not have any sleep yet. The daily trip to Ayala Center, we call it as Ayala 101, since Ayala was only minutes away from the campus and SM 102 . Hanging out in Bo’s coffee club and Dunkin Donuts in Fuente.

Everybody has gone its separate ways, although we do get in touch once in awhile. Some have experienced both the good and the bad aspect in life, relationship and careers but we are still here, striving and surviving like we always do. Miss Cando ( she will always be Miss Cando to us or to me ), is no longer teaching in UP Cebu, but took up the dean position of Computer Dept. in CIT. RJ and Adrian are now teachers in our alma mater. Lizette and Jerrha are in Singapore. Mito is in Canada. Paopao is in the US, who joined the US marine, but now a happy home maker. Syve is in Cebu, a wife, soon to be mother and a programmer. Jan or Vaki is now working in Iloilo, who sometimes pester me to buy him a male kimono :D . Jackie is in Washington. The rest ?? I hope and pray that they are doing well in life and happy in whatever they are into.

Till next time…

I do…

P.S. Japanese weddings present are so complicated .. but I am very thankful to my Ate Aya and Shibata-san for all the helped they gave up..
