Nakajima Yoko is a normal highschool girl , or at least she thought she was, got transported in a land where people grows on tree. Eventually she found out that she was actually a citizen of the Kingdom of Kei, who got blown to Hourai ( Japan) when a Shoku (a kind of storm, which opens a way to Hourai ) occurred and that she was destined to be the new Empress of the Kingdom of Kei.
Throughout the anime, you will notice Yoko’s development as she face each trials along the way. Unfortunately, the anime ended abruptly after the 45th episodes, until further novels will be released by the writer.

Highly recommmend !!! ..

For all mecha fan out there, i’m sure you will agree with me in saying that this anime is one of the best mecha anime out there :
The storyline spans three generations:
1. First Robotech Wars( The Macross Saga ) concerns humanity’s battle against Zentraedi, a race of giant warriors who are sent to retrieve the flagship of the Robotech Master Zor. The ship contains the last known source of Protoculture in the universe.
2. Second Robotech War( the Masters ) begins when the creators of the Zentraedi, the Robotech Masters, attempt to take up where the Zentraedi left off, and capture the prorotoculture held within the remains of the SDF-1
3. Third Robotech War ( The New Generation ) occurs after the alien Invid have been alerted to the existence of Protoculture on Earch by events that transpired at the end of the Second Robotech War. The planet is conquered, then enslaved, and it is up to the Robotech Expeditionary Force( and the Earth rebels) to retaked their ancestral homeland.
Love this anime, hope I can watch this again soon.

With the help of this anime, I tried to slowly read about the history of Japan. What a samurai is? Shinsengumi, Bakufu, Bakamatsu and some other historical figures mentioned during the course of this anime.
I’m not sure how many times I’ve watched this anime, but I’ve watched it several times to be able to remember the dialogues ( that was like 8 years ago ).

When we hear or talk about anime , we automatically associate it with Japan . The word anime is basically a shortcut for animation.
Currently there are hundred of anime out there and with the help of fansubbers, non-japanese speakers from all around the world can enjoy anime. “Anime Wednesday” is my way of recommending the anime that I’ve watched so far.
I invite anime lovers out there join me

Whenever Im asked about my favorite anime, Last Exile would be the very first that would pop out.
The story is about Claus and Lavie, a pilot and a mechanic respectively. Their father were also famous and they want to live their fathers dream. The twist started when they were asked to deliver a cargo which turned out to be a little girl named Alvis Hamilton. Then the real adventure begins.
If you like insanely large flying battleship that seems to defy the laws of gravity then this anime is for you.
The antogonist is a group called the Guild, which seems to live up up in the sky. Dio the heir of the Guild met with Claus and admired his piloting skill and decided to be Claus’s friend. He is actually my favorite character.
This is one anime you would not want to miss. It’s made by Gonzo, its bound to be good
, so ok im bias, I’ve never been disappointed with animation created by Gonzo ..

I will start documenting the animes that I have watched over the past year and it’s impact on me.

Hikaru No GO was one of those anime that focuses on a Japanese traditional game, GO. I love watching this anime as the characters developed. No violence whatsoever but very informative and educational. This introduced me into the world of GO. At first I thought it was really boring, hey we are talking about GO here but the writer turn it to something very interesting and without knowing it I was trying to learn GO. Most GO books are written in Japanese or Chinese and the english ones can be ordered online but shipping is very expensive. Luckily, Kinokuniya already have one of those beginners book and there is even a free go board inside ( cardboard board and stones) . There are also some internet learning materials, were you can solve some GO problems ’twas really very interesting solving them. I got to the 10th problem, though it took me a while to solve it though. Although I got the basic idea/rule of the game, it is still very hard to master and I still have a long way to go before understanding a single game :D.
Definitely a good anime for kids and adult to watch, who knows you might end up getting a Honinbou Shusaku title
