Been watching a lot of movies lately relating planets .. so i’m using this as the topic for today

Solar System - 太陽系　－　たいようけい
Sun - 太陽　　－　たいよう

Mercury - 水星　－すいせい
Venus - 金星　　－　きんせい
Earth - 地球　　－　ちきゅう
Mars　－　火星　－　かせい
Jupiter　－木星　－　もくせい
Saturn　－　土星　－　どせい
Uranus　－　天王星　－てんのうせい
Neptune　－　海王星　－　かいおうせい
Pluto　－冥王星　－　めいおうせい

if you know the kanji for days of the week, notice that each planet also uses the same kanji plus the kanji for start (星） except for earth.

Next i’ll be using the japanese lesson i got from Hiragana Times, which i’ve not yet read for a long time
