Photo Scavenger Hunt: Smelly
This week’s theme: Smelly
Not me ok. The one Im pointing too. I think this was a preserve fox. It was really smelly.
This is in Hitokura Park’s Nature Center Hyogo Prefecture
Don’t be Smelly
. Have a great weekend everyone.
Note: ( as I remember on what on the museum announcement)
Animals in these museum were not caught so that they could preserve them. Most of them were found in the wild already dead or almost dead ( no chance of survival).

Poor animals. Looks like there are a lot of them in that place, preserved. Are these harmful?
Have a great weekend, Ideru

maybe they are still new? I never saw anything like that when I was there. What the purpose of preserving them?

Interesting.

@TeacherJulie: yeah those are all preserve animals. I am not sure where they got those. It was really a sad site actually but those animals were not caught and killed, I think ( accdg to what it was written there ) these animal were found dead on the wild and instead of throwing them out they preserve them
@Grace: this is a sort of natural science museum for kids.. there are still a lot of animals preserve there, there was even a black bear..

Ew. Yup, if they aren’t properly preserved or taken care of they do stink.

I do agree with you, they are smelly especially when they are not dried off yet. Good shot, they looks real.

I laughed at that, ‘not you but the preserved animal’. Good point in including in your post how these animals were opted to be preserved.

Haha.. I was about to say no killing until I saw the last sentence. It’s great to hear that at least human are aware of unnecessary animal killing now. Anyway, good sharing here… they do smell if kept too long in the cupboard too. See you around
