Smashhh it…

Had some things to do this morning which I finished last night, that is why I decided to take a break from Dragonboat practice.  So I went with Cher to check out the badminton circle, Stardust, she once attended a few months ago.

Its not a club, its a circle. What’s the difference? A circle basically does not know anybody in the group. People just come to share the same interest, in this case badminton. Whereas a club is basically a group of people who are dedicated to a certain interest, and so everybody is close like a family. I feel its a like a gokon-sport :D.

We met at Tamatsukuri station 15minutes before 1pm and then proceeded to Tennoji Sports Center. Four courts were rented, and there were about more than 30 people who came. I asked a girl who has joined 4 times already if she knows everybody, and she said NO. Besides the organizer, and her friend she did not know anybody else. Another new comer also asked his friend if he knew anybody and he got the same answer (overheard this one).

We were paired for the first 20 minutes and did some warm up practice before the mini competition. Cher and I were paired and I did get a lot of pointers from her.  Then it was random pairing for each court. We draw out a card which corresponds to a court, I was not able to play on the first draw but on the 2nd till the last game, I was on each game.  Lucky!!!.. I did force myself to rest and give the slot  to the other people.

It was really nice, although during the introduction it was kinda gloomy. People are not that friendly, but who cares I get to play for 3 hours and that’s all that matters :D
