After our ninja mura tour in Iga-Ueno last 2006, it was time to look for an Onsen again. We found “Yabucha no Yu やぶっちゃの湯”. I thought it was still part of Mie Prefecture, turns out its already in “Shimagahara Prefecture 島ヶ原県”

It was located in a very remote area, there is also a camping site just below the resort.  I love the rotenburo ( outdoor onsen ), it has a nice view of the mountain and the sky. I bet it would just be lovely in winter while snow is falling
