An Old Lady ?? Me?

I am an old lady trapped in a 27year old body. Just kidding.  My backpains has been frequently attacking lately. I found out that I had an old disalignment of the spine, or a pelvic disalignment to be exact. It lay dormant, till a few years ago when I tried to shaped up and joined a gym.

I had a bit of an accident when I was just a kid, I slide of some rock and actually lost consciouness for minute. My mom did not have me checked, cause I did not exhibit any signs of problem after that. But actually there was a bit of disalignment around my pelvic area, but since I don’t do any back breaking jobs it just laid dormant for years. Problem with working as a programmer is you just sit all day staring at the monitor, the only part of your body that gets an exercise are the fingers so we tend to get extra fat around the middle. Thus the gym. Little did I know that this would be the cause to all my back problems now.

Doing the exercise put the pressure on the spinal area, specially around the lowerback. After a few weeks  of going to the gym, I almost lost conciousness during one of the session and that’s when it all started. Whenever Im exposed to much cold, or sits for a long period of time, my back would start to hurt and I would immediately get stomach pain, too much gas/air inside my stomach. I thought it was just too much pressure at work, since I sometimes get stomach problem.

When I arrived in Japan, autumn was just starting and by mid November it was getting colder and my spine could not stand
it. I could never understand why always get stomach pain, and too much gas in it. I was even subjected to stomach check up ( valium test ?? ), to check if there are any damage inside the lining of my stomach. The doctor could not find anything wrong , and I was not getting any better.  Heat Lotions were the only thing that could work. And I usually smelled insided
the office ( not stinking smell though). :D When winter was over, I also got better.

In Japan, its very hard to find a physical therapist that could speak english. Fortunately, dear friend Delia was able to introduced me to a therapist, a chiropractic. It is/was an expensive session, but I could really feel the difference in my body. It is a private clinic, not a hospital so it is not fully covered by my insurance but the company was kind enough to handle half of the expenses. Financial problem made me postponed my trip to the therapist, I don’t know when I will be going back there, but now at least I know the cause of the problem and somehow I already know some tricks to handle it but sometimes the pain is just unberable, that I have to stay at home and lay on  my back all day…

So you see, I am an old lady. I live for a hundred of years bwehehehehe…..

  1. イデルさん、整骨院なら保険は適用できるよ。I recommend you go to any Seikotsu-in and go there regularly. I have a recurring back pain too due to child birth…very cheap, I just pay less than 500 yen everytime because of the national health insurance. If you want to know more, email me.
