Pick up girl?

Reading graces’ post made me remember the times when I was mistaken for a pick-up girl.

Work usually made me go home wee hours in the morning , around 2 - 3 am or worst 7 am the next day. Taxi, compared to Japan , is basically cheap starting at 25 pesos ( approx. 70yen), but still expensive compared to Jeepney which was around that time 15 yen or 4-5 pesos. So most of the time, I usually opt for the Jeepney.  There are 2 route to my ex-apartment before, one was a direct route and the other is I have to transfer at a certain point to catch the Jeepney going to my place. There are only a few Jeepney operating at this hour of day, so most of the time I usually took the indirect route and change at a certain area.

There are 2 areas where I could change Jeepneys, little did I know that this 2 areas are famous pick-up points.  The first time it happened, it never did cross my mind that he was trying to get my service. The car stopped just a few meters away from me, I thought that there was somebody getting out but after a few seconds nobody did and when I look at it again, it was speeding away. He probably realized that I was not what he thought, and that I could get his licensed number and have it checked :D

Even when a friend, Rajah, was with me waiting for the Jeepney, they still did try. We were really laughing at them, as they speed away, they probably thought Rajah was my pimp or I was Rajah’s pimp :D

hmm , I miss riding jeepneys :D
