Caught ??

Sling-bag girls went to Umeda last 0427 to get a ticket for Spiderman3. Then went to our favorite Ramen house, Mannen to grab a bite of ramen for dinner.  We plan to walk from Umeda all the way to Minamikata passing by Juso on the way home, but Shiera was not yet feeling that well, so its Kagz and me left.

We were chatting about One Piece, when out of nowhere a Police officer stopped us. Asked as if we are tourist and then asked for our Passport or ARC. Of course, we have our foreigner’s identification always with us. I can forget my cellphone ( like now :D ) but not my ARC.  So on with the story, he said that it may take awhile to copy the information, so if it is ok to go to the nearest police box(koban) , I was not in the mode to accomodate anybody who stops us in the middle of the road for nothing. I was already entering into my “bitchy” mode, so he had no choice but to copy the information there or he could drag us by the hair to the koban :D.

He made little talks as he copies information from our ARC, and then another officer came, was he afraid that we could attack him that he called a reinforcement :D .. When they found out that we plan on walking home, they were surprised . And in the end they asked for our contact number, with a smile I said “Dame desu” and walk away.

This is the third time that I was stopped by a police, but the first time that I was stopped because I was a foreigner.  The first time was in Toyonaka, as I was going home from my Nihongo class to warn me to hold my bag properly because snacthers are lurking in the street. The second time was because of Alvin’s bike, whose locked was broken so they thought that it might be stolen. And this one just because I am a foreigner, which is what pisses me off…

So to all foreigner, never never never forget your ARC no matter what.

  1. but gurl!!!! he asked for your number!!! feeling ko type ka nya… naku, baka yun na yun!!! :D

  2. lol.. sorry di ko siya type. pero i think type mo yun. tama lang yung height sa iyo, at me itsura din naman. kung di lang dahil sa situation, friendly siya :D

  3. I was stopped in Tokyo for the same reason — that I was a foreigner. The police officer in plain clothes asked for my ARC, I have none..asked for my passport and showed him my Jap passport. He was confused! After a few tense explanations, I was able to convince him that I am not he was looking for!! But still, this kind of experience is irritating!

  4. yeah it is really irritating, and rude to stop anybody in the street for no reason at all.
