Starry.. starry.. starry… night

star light star bright first start i see tonight, wish i make wish i might have my wish come true tonight.. did i get that right? :D I can’t remember the exact lines, but why am i rambling about stars and wishes, actually i am try to get to that and blog about stars..

a couple of weeks back, as my friend and I was going home, I saw something glittering in the sky, i thought it was a plane preparing to land but no it was a star. I gasp in a dramatic kind of way ( as my friend told me ) and exclaimed

me: ” A Star! , It’s a real star.. I finally saw a star! ”

friend: yeah it is.. *laughing at me*

me: I know, is it the north star?

friend: I don’t know but its a star..

hey, am not exaggerating here, that was really my reaction. after 2 years of living in japan, i could actually say that it was the first star I have seen. then i remember my japanese friend asking me one time if i could see the stars at night in my country, and i said yes.. lots and lots of star.. constellation of stars. I used to do constellation hunting when i was a kid, naming the constellation i could find, i could name them all back then, but now i could probably only name at least 4 or 5.. pathetic really, as I learn more, i learn less.

I asked my friend why, and the answer was the city lights are too bright as if competing with brightness of the sky.. creating a whole new constellation on land. A constellation constantly changing, a constellations without a name .. but hey maybe we can start naming them :D

as my city starts to progress, stars are slowly emerging, who knows how long the lights of heaven will start to fade, but then i could always climb a mountain and enjoy star gazing and do my constellation hunting again..

and so i wish , I wish to see big dipper again :D
