皺 - しわ
-> wrinkle, ripple, crease
As K-sensei was explaining about the formation of Japan Alps, this word came out. Shiwa, as he said is one word you should never mentioned to a Japanese woman :D. I think its not only Japanese woman but every woman around the world
The world can also refer to water ripple, or creased on the clothes .

Cycling around the busy streets in the Philippines is rare, unless you want the buses and jeepneys honked at you. In Japan, it is both convenient and a menace.
Don’t have the time to translate it yet but here are the new RULES. Penalty is expensive so careful not to violate them.

I’ve been trying to get rid of those extra flabs around the waist and tone the rest of my muscles as well. Going to the gym and looking for the best fitness equipment is one option. But with my back problem, I could not just use any fitness equipment, I need to consult an instructor first.
Another consideration of going to the gym is of course the reliability of their fitness equipment. Most of us just take it for granted, but it is important to know if we can trust the equipment we are using and not go berserk in the middle of the workout, don’t you think so? Of course if our part, we need also to check everything before doing our workout.
We want to look good, right? while going to the gym helps, lets not also forget that we need to have a proper diet also or everything will just go down the drain.
So what are you waiting for, let’s get physical….

Which literally means ” Tower Reaching Heaven”, is another well-known landmark of Osaka. After three years of living here, I finally came face to face with it.

The tower in the middle, surrounded by shops. One of which is a famous fugu ( blowfish) store.
Another thing that you will notice while walking around the shops is a somewhat funny at the same time scary statue of the Billiken.

From Yakitate Japan episode 27. I did violate a sacred baking rule, proper measurement!!!. I did not have enough flour at hand and I forgot to adjust the other ingredients. The result …

I could not knead it properly because it lack 50g of flour but it still taste good though
Here are the ingredients and procedure:
- flour - 350 grams
- butter - 21 grams
- sugar - 21 grams
- milk - 35 cc
- water - 180 cc
- dry yeast - 5g
- salt - 6.5 grams
- mix flour, sugar, salt, dry yeast dissolved in water, water, milk together
- knead all the ingredients together
- when mix thoroughly, add butter
- when its no longer sticky , shape it so that its round
- leave it in a warm place for 60 minutes - primary fermentation
- next get rid of the excess gas, but using your fist and punching the dough softly reducing the size to 50 cm
- next leave it in a warm place for 60 minutes - secondary fermentation
- put it in the rice cooker and start cooking/baking
- set the rice cooker to 60 minutes, do this 3 times while turning the dough every 60 minutes
It takes a little while though but its really tasty.
